Ready for sisterhood and connection? Long gone are the days where the women of the tribe retreat to the red tent to bleed together and share their stories. Yet most of us are craving this connection to the divine feminine and forgotten wisdom more now than ever before. Led by senior facilitators Mel Kitchen and Tianjin Lawless-Jennings; this weekend will reconnect you with your body, help you understand your cycles and every rite of passage that comes with womanhood. You will create rituals and practices to rebalance and remember how to use your femininty as your superpower. 

Who’s it for?

This weekend is for women of all ages at any part of the divine feminine journey. Women who are bleeding and want to better understand the phases of each cycle and how to use the gifts of the cycles as personal power. And for women who have crossed into eldership that comes after the last bleed. We’ll teach you how to stay divinely connected to your rhythms, the moon, the earth and the goddess in each chapter of womanhood. This weekend is for women who want to reclaim their power and untangle the stories, the stigma and come home to the wisdom of their wombs.

Our home for the weekend is Waldara; an authentic Australian working farm in set on 800 acres of rolling pastures. Just 3 hours drive from Sydney, Edith is nestled between the Blue Mountains and Mudgee. As you enter the tree lined avenue of the Waldara estate you will be struck by the exquisite, landscaped gardens that evolve with the seasons. The Waldara grounds have been lovingly designed to capture the feeling of serenity and wonderment that comes from being surrounded by mother nature. The architecture of the accommodation and yoga shala compliment the beauty of the natural surrounds complete with jacuzzi and fire pit.

Melissa Kitchen

Senior Facilitator, teacher trainer and head of yoga at MM. Mel’s specialty has always been the psychology of yoga and the energy body. Yet, 3 years into her yoga teaching journey she was initiated into the world of the divine feminine when her own feminine parts began to fail. Determined to heal naturally, her path led her to train with the finest minds from Allopathic Western Specialists to Chinese Medicine doctors to Ayurvedic Specialists and Indigenous Shamans. What she discovered was a rich body of forgotten practices and science that changed her body and path forever. Determined to close the gap between modern lifestyle and traditional wisdom Mel teaches the core truths where every style of medicine meet to offer power and wisdom to women of all ages. 

 

Tianjin Lawless – Jennings

Senior Yoga Teacher, Pregnancy & postnatal Yoga Teacher, Mizan Therapist (Abdominal Massage, Womb Steaming & Castor Oil Packs), Placenta Remedy Specialist, Ayurveda Enthusiast, Trainee Doula & Mother. Tianjin has an incredible passion for working with women. Her greatest joy is in creating sacred space for women to explore their connection within themselves while supporting and encouraging their self-care.Tianjin followed her calling to teach yoga in 2010 studying Hatha, Vinyasa and Restorative with the IYTA (International Yoga Teacher’s Association) in Sydney and at that time her mentor was a Ryoho Japanese Yoga Teacher who introduced her to the power of working with meridians and organ systems. During her first pregnancy in 2014, whilst living in Amsterdam, she qualified in Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga in London studying with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and then continued studies into Ayurveda & Yoga in the Netherlands with Tory Hyndman (a direct student of Dr Vasant Lad). She is currently training to become a Doula with Ibu Robin Lim and has attended births alongside home-birth midwives here in Sydney.

Retreat is a time to deeply nourish the body through wholesome, ayurvedic meals designed to supoort feminine health and inform us how to be sustained all throughout the day. Meals are organic, vegan with additional protein options upon request. Gluten free and any allergies are easily catered for; just let us know!
