AIMEE ROBINSON
Yoga first entered Aimee’s life not as a fitness practice, but as a prescription to tackle severe panic attacks. What began as a physical intervention quietly opened a doorway into herself — into her body, her breath, and a new way of being. It planted a seed of curiosity: What is it about this practice that is changing me from the inside out?
What began as personal healing became a lifelong inquiry into the human mind and body. Her path took her to India, the home of the practice, to understand on a deeper level what was changing her. There, she didn’t just study yoga – she lived it, allowing the philosophy to shape her daily life, her awareness, and her way of being. Knowing how profoundly the practice had transformed her, she went on to study trauma-informed yoga, yoga therapy, holotropic breathwork, and psychotherapy, passionate about bringing these practices to support others on the rollercoaster that is life.
Aimee teaches from a deep belief that yoga reconnects us to the body’s innate wisdom — the quiet intelligence that guides us beyond thought. Her classes are slow and spacious, offering room for deep listening, gentle inquiry, and embodied presence — an invitation to meet yourself with curiosity and compassion. In a world that prizes productivity and achievement, she invites students into a different kind of courage: to turn inward, to sit in stillness, and to listen.
To borrow the words of Ram Dass, “The quieter we become, the more we hear.”
Aimee is forever grateful to Dr Ebba Nielson – thank you for the best prescription ever written. Thank you also to all the yoga teachers who, for thousands of years, have shared this practice and made its way to me; it saved my life.
Favourite way to relax?
Yoga Nidra. As a new(ish) mother, allowing myself to truly relax can sometimes feel like a hard ask. But give me some headphones and a Yoga Nidra recording and my body drops through allllll the gears.
Where did you grow up?
Madrid, which always throws people off. Don’t let the strong British accent fool you — my bloodline may be English, but my heart and home are Spanish..
